DR. TEQUIERO ABUOM OKUMU

My research integrates clinical and production medicine research amongst livestock in Kenya
focusing on infectious diseases and zoonoses, as well as production diseases, and how these affect
the productivity of livestock, especially amongst smallholder and resource-limited farming
communities. The focus has been on the generation of evidence that supports the development of
policies that help to reduce the impact of these diseases on the productivity of affected animals, livelihoods, and nutrition of the affected farming communities.
