    Bio:

    Dr. Samuel K. Mungai:

    • Is a construction management lecturer and researcher at the University of Nairobi. His scholarly interests lie in sustainable construction, sustainability transitions in the built environment, construction history and historiography, and, construction project management. 
    • He holds a PhD, MA & Bachelors (First Class Honours) in Construction Management from the University of Nairobi. Dr. Mungai has published in both local and international peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for several international academic publications. 
    • He is an active research supervisor and examiner at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Additionally, he is a practicing construction project manager with over a decade of experience delivering high-value projects across Kenya specializing in architectural, interior design, and infrastructural construction project management. 
    • He is also a corporate member of the Association of Construction Managers of Kenya and an IFC EDGE-certified DfGE trainer, he is actively engaged in professional and community initiatives, including the University of Nairobi’s Race to Net Zero project.
