Research Interests
My main research focus is driven by my desire to exploit my organic synthesis expertise to develop molecules of potential pharmaceutical interest mainly against tropical diseases such as malaria, but also other endemic microbial diseases. I am also keen on structure modification of bioactive natural products to improve their pharmacological profiles. This is with the long term objective of identifying a drug for alleviating the disease burden globally.
