Dr. Lydiah Njihia is a Tutorial Fellow at the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology, and Parasitology. She is also a PhD candidate, with a keen research interest in One Health, virology, and the intersection of zoonotic and infectious diseases. Her research focuses on the dynamics of zoonotic viruses, particularly how climate change influences virus evolution and the ecology of disease vectors. Through her work, she aims to enhance understanding of viral transmission patterns and their impact on both animal and human health, with a special emphasis on emerging infectious diseases and their relationship with environmental changes.
