Professor Kinama is an associate professor and Agricultural scientist with extensive teaching, research and outreach experience with strengths and interests in agro-meteorology and modeling agricultural production, modeling climate change, climate change mitigation and adaptation research, crop water use, radiation use and expert in radiation and soil water balance and cropping practices, organic and inorganic fertilizer use. His past research activities include: rice production under irrigated and rain-fed agriculture, intercropping, gender roles and food security under climate change, fertilizer use under potato, maize, sorghum, production as well as climate data use and food production in Rwanda.
