    Dr. Anne Karuma is a dedicated soil scientist specializing in soil and water management. She holds a PhD in Soil and Water Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania, an MSc in Soil Science and a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her work focuses on advancing agricultural productivity through innovative research on water-efficient practices and sustainable tillage systems, particularly tailored to the challenges of arid and semi-arid regions.

    Dr. Karuma’s research emphasizes sustainable land, soil, and water management, strongly focusing on climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. Beyond her teaching responsibilities, she is deeply committed to mentoring postgraduate students, and fostering the development of future leaders in soil and water management. Her efforts contribute significantly to promoting sustainable agricultural practices in Kenya and beyond, ensuring resilience and productivity in the face of global environmental challenges.
