This project builds knowledge into action based on ASSAR work as documented in Ofoegbu et al., 2018, Satyal et al., Rao et al. and ASSAR, (2018). From this studies, it was concluded that knowledge users and actors at local level are currently not within the centre of climate knowledge dissemination network. This means, centrality of knowledge users in the knowledge dissemination sphere is deficient and therefore feedback from knowledge users to knowledge producers is weak or completely missing. Also knowledge integration is feeble. To build adaptation capacity of pastoralist and agro-pastoralists requires that barriers to integration of adaptation knowledge from different sources as well as barriers to free flow of such knowledge from source to end users at different scales must be addressed.
The overall objective of this project therefore is to support pastoralists and agro- pastoralists to use transformative and socially inclusive adaptation knowledge to build the resilience of their livelihoods and landscapes in northern Kenya.
