Dr. Rawlynce Bett is a lecturer  at the at the Department of Animal Production, University of  Nairobi. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Research, Department of Animal Breeding in the Tropics and Sub-Tropics, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. Prior to this he has been involved in several activities including: CONSULTANT/RESOURCE PERSON at International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Nairobi Kenya; for  Global Environmental Fund (GEF) project in Asia,  POST DOCTORAL SCIENTIST and LECTURER- Global Animal Genetic Resources, Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala Sweden, VISITING SCIENTIST, International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Nairobi Kenya, RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, at the Department of Animal Breeding in the Tropics and Sub-Tropics, Humboldt University of Berlin,  and as an ASSISTANT RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (small ruminant), National Animal Husbandry Research Centre, Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI). He has held several positions including being a Founding member and Liaison & Partnership official of the Kenya Animal Breeding and Genomics Association (KABGA) and the Chairman of  Sogobet Community Based Environmental Programme (SCBEP). He has over 40 publications ranging from publications in scientific journals, Books, Book Chapters and Theses and Refereed conference proceedings.
