Here is the beginning of the story....

I am a graduate of NHS, a boarding high school in Nyamira County, Kenya.  I had  both my Bachelor and Master of Science in Mathematics  degrees  at the University of Nairobi in Kenya.

I worked with  Ramadas Ramakrishnan, Research Scientist  at the International Center for Theoretical Physics, ICTP,  Trieste - Italy  during the  pre-Doctoral Programme in Mathematics in the years 2009/2010.  Then I joined the School of Mathematics at the College of Biological and Physical Sciences of the University of Nairobi in Kenya as Tutorial Fellow.

My research interests are in enumerative algebraic geometry: I am more attracted with combinatorics and representation theory methods  in algebraic geometry. I worked for my PhD with Boris Shapiro and Rikard Bøgvad both of the Department of Mathematics at  the University of Stockholm. My doctoral  thesis is about Gromov-Witten invariants  of the complex projective line, in particular Hurwitz numbers. Currently, am a postdoctal research fellow at Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford getting induced by Balazs Szendroi into Donaldson-Thomas theory and  combinatorics of Hilbert schemes of points on surfaces, plus more Gromov-Witten theory with Paul Johnson at Shelfield.
