Research Activities

  • Medical Therapy of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia:
    Combination drug therapy using alpha-adrenergic uroselective blockers of x1a and x1d receptors(tamsulocin/alfuzocin) and 5 alpha reductase dual inhibitors of isoenzymes 1&2 in the treatment of symptomatic benign prostate hyperplasia.
  • Colorectal carcinoma as haematuria:
    Rarely haematuria is associated with colonic malignancy; but afew of them spread to the urinary bladder and presents with haematuria.
  • Medical therapy of Benign Prostate Hypertrophy:
    Study of patients with benign prostatic hypertrophy with symptoms who were given drugs to relieve their symptoms rather than opting for surgery.Assessment of improvement results by International Prostate Symptoms Score,prostate volume reduction,
  • The Role of Professionals in Health Policy making:
    Contribution Health Professionals makes in Health Policy making covering the essential areas of priority attention to deal with disease epidermics,training of personnel and Health economics
  • Prostate Cancer Prevention using Dutasteride drug.:
    The use of the drug dutasteride ,a dual inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase isoenzymes 1&2 which blocks the conversion of testosterone to the active form dihydrotestosterone stimulating the prostate cells proliferation there by giving rise to Prostate cell death than growth.
  • Review of journals on water and health:
    Body water in health and in disease situations,the water intake and output balances,the internal  envirnment being  the interstitial fluid compartment and the external environment being the atmospheric air.
  • Drinking water and health/wellness:
    Study of the quality,quantity,availability,affordability of drinking water and water borne diseases with its relationships to domestic/industrial waste handling in the Kenya situations.
  • Benign prostate hyperplasia update:
    Review of cellular and molecular biology explaining the androgenic receptor complex stimulation of the transcription nuclear growth factors that lead to cell proliferation dependent on gene factors of an individual.The gene factors are either of cell membrane or nucleus.
