Christopher A. Moturi is currently a senior faculty at the Department of Computing and Informatics (formerly School of Computing and Informatics). Prior to that he served as University ICT Director from 2017 to 2019, Deputy Management Representative for ISO 9001:2015 Standard and Head of the Quality Management System from 2015 to 2021, Deputy Director, School of Computing and Informatics from 2007 to 2017. He has long experience in University Management that includes ICT Director, Head of University Quality Management System, Lead Internal Quality Auditor, Head of Department, Course Coordinator, Examinations Officer; membership in Top University Boards: Extended University Executive Board, Senate, Dean’s Committee, College Management Board, College Academic Board; Teaching for over 35 years; Curriculum Development; Research; and Consultancy. He has mentored hundreds of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, many who have gone on to develop successful careers in ICT. He has represented the university in the boards of KENET and KNATCOM. He has published 58 papers in peer reviewed journals and successfully supervised 96 postgraduate students. In May 2021, when the University of Nairobi marked 50 years, UoN@50, he was honoured and celebrated by the University as a hero for having overseen the successful implementation of the University ISO9001 certification over a period of 10 years.
