Mosiany Letura Kisipan

Mosiany L. Kisipan started schooling in 1984 at Ilbissil Primary School and sat for his KCPE in 1991. In 1992, joined Olkejuado High School where he sat for KCSE in 1995. He was admitted to the University of Nairobi in 1997 to pursue Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2002. Later in the year, he joined Kenchic Limited on an internship program. In 2003, he joined VSF-Germany as a Project Officer and a team leader of Kenya-Tanzania cross-border project. In that position, Mosiany L. Kisipan was involved in community sensitization/education and mobilization in regard to issues concerning livestock disease control, ECF vaccine trial and fostering good working relation between the NGO and other stakeholders, including the community and government departments at District level.

In 2004, Mosiany L. Kisipan joined the department of Veterinary Anatomy (now department of veterinary anatomy and physiology) of the University of Nairobi as a tutorial fellow. In 2005, he registered for MSc. (Veterinary Anatomy) and successfully defended a thesis titled ‘The morphology and morphometry of the male reproductive system of rufous sengi (Elephantulus rufescens)’ and the degree awarded in 2009. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Nairobi besides teaching at the same university.
