Purpose of the Course
To enable learners to select and apply appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, the learner should be able to:
1. Explain the critical and sensitive organs of the human body.
2. Describe the interaction mechanism of radiation in the human body.
3. Explain measurement units and parameters used in regulatory requirements.
4. Describe principles and instrumentation used in nuclear and medical diagnosis.

Course Content
Biological effects of radiation, the uses of radioisotopes in medical diagnosis, therapeutic applications of radiations, diagnostic applications of radiation, fluoroscopy, nuclear Imaging instruments, radiography, Computed tomography (CT), Image quality, ultrasound instrumentation, magnetic resonance and experimental radiobiology.
