Laura Nelima Barasa holds a PhD in Economics from Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Barasa is a lecturer at the University of Nairobi's School of Economics, teaching Econometrics. Barasa’s research interests include innovation, agriculture, poverty, and education in low income countries. Barasa has published in leading journals such as Research policy. She is a European Investment Bank-Global Development Network (EIB-GDN) Applied Development Finance fellow. Barasa is an African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) and Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) researcher, and a member of the African Network for Internationalization of Education (ANIE).
