1.ASS 102: Principles of Soil Science
Students are supposed to learn basic concept of Soil Science.
2. ASS 302: Environmental Soil Chemistry
Students learn concept of soil clay, mineralogy, soil solution chemistry, Soil amendments, remediation of polluted soils.
3. ASS 307: Soil Fertility and fertilizer use
Students are taught soil fertility, testing of nutrients in soils, liming acid soils, fertilizer types, their use and related
technologies.
4. ASS 408: Soil Testing and plant analysis
By the end of this course students should be able to analyze soil and plants for major and minor nutrients. They should be
bale to advise farmers on fertilizer rates and amendments to correct soil deficiencies
