PROF. JAMES NGUHIU-MWANGI

Prof. Nguhiu is a Kenyan born in 1955. He is married and has 3 children. He is a committed Christian. He is a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Surgery and currently the head of Surgery, Department of Clinical Studies. He graduated from the university of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medline (BVM) degree in 1981, Master of Science (MSc) in clinical studies (surgery discipline) (Nairobi) in 1985 and Doctorate degree (PhD) in clinical studies (surgery discipline) (Nairobi) in 2007. He has much teaching experience in the discipline of veterinary surgery having taught veterinary undergraduates since 1981 to the present time. He has also taught postgraduates in surgery and clinical studies subjects for many years. He has supervised many postgraduates in the discipline of surgery including Master of Veterinary Surgery and Doctorate candidates. He has carried out research in surgery and published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and also published 2 surgery book and book chapters in scholarly books. His area of interest is in Cattle Lameness, Radiography, Sutures and Abdominal Surgery and traumatology. Download full CV for detailed information.
