Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship
Director, Mombasa Campus and Senior Lecturer, Department of Business Administration, School of Business University of Nairobi. Holds an earned PhD in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, Master of Business Administration (UON) and Bachelor of Education in Business Studies & Economics. Trained in Entrepreneurial Management from the Snider Entrepreneurial Center, Wharton Business School University of Pennsylvania (USA). Has over 25 years experience in lecturing at the University in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, School of Business, University of Nairobi and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Has gained extensive experience in management of University programmes being the Director of a Campus with over 2500 students and having been Coordinator of MBA programme of the University of Nairobi. Has supported many organizations in capacity building in areas of governance, strategic planning and customer management.
Collaborating with Copenhagen Business School, University of Dar es Salaam and University of Zambia on a research study of Successful African Businesses using the Institutional Theory framework. five year project involving field work, case developments and dissemination through conferences, journal articles and a book of cases on African Enterprises. Involved as a member of the Kenyan country study.
