Dr.Kinama is a Senior Lecturer Agrometeorologist and head of Agronomy in the department of Plant science and Crop protection. He is currently college representative to the university exhibition committee, he is the chairman of the exhibition and shows at the Faculty of Agriculture which is responsible for showcasing College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS) academic programs innovations and outreach to key stakeholders in the agricultural sector. Dr. Kinama is also a Faculty of Agriculture chairman of Field/Firm and Industrial attachment committee, which is responsible for attaching all third year students to gain critical practice experience during their time of study in the university. Dr. Kinama has also done research in Agrometeorology, Agronomy and Natural Resources management and has published in refereed journals.

He has supervised and mentored many post graduate students in shaping their scientific careers. He has been involved in collaborative research with local and international institutions including KARI and World Agroforestry Centre. He further has a wealth of experience in agricultural research and extension while working with KARI and the Ministry of Agriculture. For more information see attached CV.
