University of Nairobi HIV Capacity Building Fellowship

Prof James Kiarie is the Directotor of the UHIV Fellowship whose goal is to Build the capacity of local health care workers and organizations to deliver HIV services by:

Implementing a sustained national training program.
Adopting an academic model of training that supports the transition of HIV programs to local organizations
Aligning with the Kenya National AIDS and the PEPFAR Strategic Plan

The fellowship is implemented by a Consortium of the College of Health Sciences (UoN), Department of Global Health (UW) and Management Sciences for Health (MSH). It brings together 5 collaborating Kenyan universities Kenyatta University, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, Egerton University, Technical University of Mombasa and University of Nairobi
