Dr. Isaac Maitha (Ph.D.) is an accomplished researcher and highly experienced expert in Food Science and Technology at the University of Nairobi. With over 15 years of Leadership experience in Food Industries Management, Teaching, and Research, he has made significant contributions to Innovations, New products development, Processing operations, ISO Standards, Food Quality and Safety, while advancing sustainable food systems.
With a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Tech. in Food Science and Technology, Dr. Maitha has an extensive academic and professional background. His expertise spans key areas, including Food Process Engineering, Food Packaging, Dairy Science, Tea and Coffee Technology, Post-Harvest Technology, and Food Innovations. He is committed to providing evidence-based solutions to improve livelihoods, Food Plant Design, Food Processing Operations, and Food Quality by working closely with farmers, social groups, Industry stakeholders, Entrepreneurs and Mentoring Students to offer solutions to manufacturing challenges and for economic development.
