Stochastic Models for Social Processes

The course is taught to Fourth Year Bachelor of Economics and Statistics students. It is an introduction to tools needed in the next course in applied stochastic processes. Aspects such as Generating functions, Probability Generating Function, Conditional distributions and Expectations, Moment Generating Functions, Laws of Large Numbers and Introduction to Markov Chains are covered within the course.

Design of Clinical Trials

The course is taught to master of science in Biometry students, within their second year. The course involves studying statistical procedures for analysis data from clinical trials, aspects such as sample size computation, meta analysis in clinical studies and Randomization techniques.

Data Management and Analysis

The course involves methods of data management and analysis techniques using R statistical software. The course is intended to introduce students to use of computer software in statistical data management and analysis. R is an open source software, and capable of handling all tasks in mathematics. It is also a program based software (not just pull down menu) and quite useful in enhancing learners programming skills.
