Dr. Hassan Kinyua Omari has twenty years of working experience in various fields, especially interfaith dialogue where he has highly contributed his skills and experience in solving various problems and contributed towards organizational achievements. He serves as a lecturer, consultant, lawyer, mentor, director of religious affairs, Imam, mediator, counselor, and Islamic teacher for over 15 years in various institutions.
He holds a Ph.D. in Religion/Leadership from the University of Nairobi where he also attained his Master of Arts Degree-Religious Studies as well as Bachelor of Arts Degree in Arabic Language and Religious studies in addition to Bachelor of Laws degree.
In addition, Hassan holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance- Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance-U.K. He also holds Diplomas in Mass Communication and Public Relations and Customer Service- Regional Center for Tourism and Foreign Languages – Nairobi; Arabic language WAMY Vocational College-Nairobi; Islamic Shariah-Kenya Institute of Foreign languages and Professional Studies; Translation and Interpretation-Language Connections
Center-Nairobi as well as Certificate in Business Studies-ICM

He speaks as well as serves as an international translator and interpreter in English, Arabic, Kiswahili, and Kiambu. .

Hassan presently works as a lecturer of Religious Studies and Arabic Language at the University of Nairobi. He also serves as external examiner and supervisor at Tangaza University College (The Catholic University of Eastern Africa), Mount Kenya University - Thika, and St Paul University-Limuru.
In addition, he features on Alhuda TV, Radio Maisha, Iqra Broadcasting Network, 95.1 Iqra FM, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, and Nation Television.

Dr Hassan hold several leadership positions. Currently he is director, legal and religious affairs at Kenya Muslims national advisory council. He is also Chairman, Nairobi County Peace Forum c/o Office of the President, Chairman, Rahma Welfare Society, National Chairman -Al Wahda Muslim Teachers Association. He also served as director Religious Affairs/ as well as Secretary Majlis Ulamaa -Supreme Council of Kenya Muslim (SUPKEM) and serves as Chairman, Peace League Africa
