Shazia Chaudhry is a lecturer at the Department of Diplomacy and International Studies (DDIS), University of Nairobi, Kenya. She is also an associate at the Institute of Climate Change and Adaptation, University of Nairobi. She holds a Master in Arts and Ph.D. in International Studies from the Department of Diplomacy and International Studies, University of Nairobi and a Bachelors of Science degree from University of the Punjab, Pakistan. Her area of expertise is environmental IR, with a key focus on climate change governance, human security, and environmental diplomacy. She has published extensively on issues of climate change, human security and a number of other IR topics. She is deeply passionate for not only teaching and research, but also mentoring the learners, and aspires to instill a deep academic culture with moral, and ethical values. Additionally, she takes great interest in empowering women and youth through active participation with various NGOs and CBOs.
