Dr.Rosemary Khitieyi Imonje is a full time faculty, and a senior lecturer in Curriculum studies and Education in Emergencies at the Faculty of Education, University of Nairobi,Kenya. She has a PhD in Curriculum studies from the University of Nairobi, a Master in Education Curriculum Design and Program Development; and Bachelor of Education Degree in History and Philosophy of Religious Education from Kenyatta University; a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Management from University of South Africa.
Dr. Imonje has a progressive long and outstanding experience of over 30 years as a consultant, researcher, program designer and developer at different levels in the field of Education. She has done extensive action and collaborative research; and published in these areas. Rosemary has worked with organizations such as Global Partnership for Education (GPE) through Government of Kenya, World Bank and Ministry of Education (Kenya) on Kenya Primary Education Development (PRIEDE) Project; and Designing and Implementation of an Advocacy, Gender Sensitization and Social Support Programme for Retention and transition in schools; Center for British Teachers (CfBT)/University of Nairobi Enterprises &Services (UNES) on Somalia Master’s in Education program for Government officers in Puntland, Garowe and Mogadishu. he has taught at high school; primary teacher training college; and at Kenya technical teacher training college.
