Personal Information

I am a lecturer of Linguistics and Communications in the Department of Linguistics and Languages at the University of Nairobi. I hold a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Technical University of Kenya (TUK).  I am an author, researcher, music composer/arranger and consultant in Linguistics and Music with a special focus on Semantics and Discourse studies. I have authored a book, Semantic Analysis of Dholuo Nouns: The Semantic Field Theory, and a number of papers and Chapters in peer reviewed journals and books including “Mapping Out the Identity of African Arts and Aesthetics”, co-authored and published in Thought and Practice, a Journal of Philosophy. I am currently the Music Director of the University of Nairobi Choir.
