This course trains the learners to understand the management aspects of engineering practice, understand the functions of professional engineering societies, discuss the laws and regulations governing the engineering practice and understand the role of engineers in society. During the course the learners become acquainted with financial, legal, regulatory, ethical and business aspects of engineering practice. They also learn about office organization and management,human resource management as well as professional societies, engineering registration and the role of engineering in development.

Purpose of the course
The purpose of this course is to provide the basis for the recognition and understanding of the major features of hydrology, its application to problems of environmental concern and the eco-hydrological consequences of environmental management.

At the end of this course, the learner should be able to;

2. Assess, plan and implement strategies for sustainable management and use of water resources

Purpose of the Course
This course unit is designed to provide the student with an understanding and knowledge of marine ecology and biodiversity conservation in a management context. The student should be able to link ecology and biodiversity conservation to develop a solid foundation in managing fisheries resources.
