- Vector Ecology & Arbovirus Surveillance: Focus on malaria vectors (Anopheles spp.) and arbovirus vectors (Aedes aegypti, sandflies, etc.), including surveillance systems, invasive species (Anopheles stephensi), and odor-baited traps/LED-light systems.
- Insect Chemical Ecology: Host/plant volatiles, attractants, and behavioral responses in mosquitoes and other vectors.
- Integrated Vector Management & Public Health: Disease control strategies, policy advocacy, and linking research to practical applications for malaria, dengue, chikungunya, Rift Valley fever, and other vector-borne diseases.
- Entomology Education & Capacity Building: Curriculum development, postgraduate supervision, and science communication.
