I am a Kenyan by nationality and a Veterinarian by profession. I am an Associate Professor of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Department of Clinical Studies in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. I have experience in teaching and research in Food animal medicine, wildlife diseases, Food Animal production management and Ethnoveterinary medicine. I have experience in large animal ambulatory clinics and herd health and Research in medicinal plant products. I have a PhD in Clinical Studies from University of Nairobi, an MSc from University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi. I was appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Clinical Studies in July 2015, Associate Professor in November 2014, after having previously been appointed as a Senior Lecturer, Farm Manager of the University of Nairobi, Veterinary Farm, a Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Studies and Farm manager and Clinician at Benedictine Monastery Farm, Tigoni. I have published 32 papers in peer reviewed journals and read 48 articles in scientific conferences and workshops. I have supervised 3 PhDs and 7 masters students to completion and over 10 undergraduate special projects. I am currently involved in the supervision of 2 PhD students and 1 Masters Students. I have attended a number of conferences and workshops. I am also currently involved in research on Moringa oleifera a project funded by Carnegie foundation through RISE AFFNET. I am a member of a number of Faculty committees.
