She is a tutorial fellow Tutorial fellow in the Microbiology Section, Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology, University of Nairobi. Her duties include teaching undergraduate students in Microbiology, Poultry clinic consultancy and diagnostics. She is also involved in mentoring students on personal development and career progression.
She holds an MSc in applied Microbiology and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine both from the university of Nairobi, Kenya

. She is currently pursuing her PhD studies at the same University.She was awarded the Consortium for Advanced Research Training (CARTA) doctoral fellowship on 2018.

Her back ground is in Veterinary Medicine with extensive experience in applied Microbiology. Her research interests are on zoonosis, public health and Molecular Microbiology.

Her PhD research is on ‘’Milk Microbiome and antimicrobial resistance associated with sub clinical and clinical mastitis in dairy cattle in Kenya”

She is driven by strong passion, knowing that through her research she is impacting communities and contributing to the narrative of healthy animals and humans
