Angeline Chepchirchir is an academic scholar, trainer, researcher,manager and a community service resource person with demonstrable leadership in public health practice , training, research and community health service. Her aim is to provide strategic leadership in academia, research, training, management and community service. I am a lecturer at the University of Nairobi based at the School of Nursing Sciences. I am a classroom and clinical instructor; and research mentor for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
I am a research mentor for HEPI project that supports undergraduate students in health sciences to undertake clinical research projects in implementation science since the year 2019. Several students have successfully implemented clinical research projects and defended the research reports through this initiative.
I have previously worked with the technical team from department of health promotion in the Ministry of Health, in the design of Community Health workers’ training manuals as part of the implementation of Community Health strategy. We later carried out surveys to evaluate the performance of health workers in designated community health units in Kajiado, Nakuru and Baringo Counties in Kenya.
Together with GNPHN–Kenya team, we successfully organized the Global network of Public Health Nursing international conference held in Safari park Hotel in May 2019.
I am one of the members of the MSH technical working group that developed and piloted the Health professionals Infection prevention Continuous education modules published in 2021.
Currently, a member of the National Council of Occupational Safety, at the department of Occupational safety in the ministry of Labour since July 2019. The main role is to advice the cabinet secretary on matters of occupational safety.
