Dr. Anne N. Karuma

I have a PhD (Soil and Water Management) (Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania, 2015), an M.Sc. in Soil Science (University of Nairobi, 2009), and a B.Sc. in Agriculture (University of Nairobi, 2007).

My research domain focuses on agricultural production through water-efficient practices in arid and semi-arid ecosystems. My main interests are sustainable land, soil, and water management in increasing agricultural productivity, environmental integrity, and climate change adaptation and mitigation. I have also (co)-authored several publications and book chapters in the field of Soil and Water Management.

Apart from teaching assignments to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, I am also currently involved in the supervision of MSc and PhD students, coordination of field attachments, and special projects as well as mentorship to undergraduate students. I am also a researcher/consultant in Soil and Water management issues.
