Mr. Irungu is an electrical technician in the department of Facilities Management University of Nairobi. He is currently in the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences .Upper Kabete Campus.

Mr.Irungu went to Dr. Kraph primary school at Nairobi for his formal education and Gitongu Secondary School at Muranga. Thereafter he completed a course in Electrical Installation Craft at Kabete Technical Training Institute in the then Kabete National Polytechnic. He worked as Electrical technician at Butterfly Properties Ltd at Ruiru and Later joined Kenyatta University as an electrical technician before joining University of Nairobi.

Mr. Irungu did his Government Trade Test at NITA-Nairobi Branch. He is an Artisan Grade I Certified by National Industrial Training Authority. He is a class C electrician licensed by Energy And Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA). He is Married with three children.
